BAXI Manresa capped off a great season with their sixteenth victory in the Liga Endesa, defeating Real Madrid at the Nou Congost for the first time in 28 years in a game they dominated from start to finish (94-87). At the end of the game, Dani Pérez, who was playing his farewell match, received a tribute from the club and fans.
The team coached by Diego Ocampo got off to a good start and took an early lead (13-7). The home team controlled the game, played well, and finished the first quarter with a seven-point advantage thanks to a three-pointer by Obasohan (26-19).
In the second quarter, the home team extended their lead, eventually winning by nineteen points (54-35). The Whites then reacted and went into halftime trailing by only eight points (56-48).
Coming back from the locker room, Manresa started strong again and pulled ahead by ten points (62-52). Real Madrid responded and even took the lead (70-71). The third quarter ended with Manresa leading by one point (74-73).
In the final ten minutes, Scariolo's men tied the game at 85, but in the closing moments, the home team proved superior, going on a 7-0 run to secure a well-deserved victory and end the season on a high note.
