A very erratic BAXI Manresa could not take the victory in the visit of Río Breogán to Nou Congost (70-106). The players led by Pedro Martínez were completely outplayed, especially in the second quarter, and had no option to fight for victory.
The Galicians started the game better and nailed an opening half of 2-8, but the Reds did not take long to react and scored ten consecutive points to turn the score around, which forced the visiting coach to call a timeout. At the end of the first quarter, the home team led by two points (18-16).
In the second, Breogán proved to be far superior to the Manresa team who did not quite get things going, neither in attack nor in defence. It nailed a strong partial 9-24 to reach the middle of the match with a comfortable advantage of thirteen points (27-40).
Returning from the changing rooms, the Bages team came out strong and came to be only five points behind (41-46). Later, the home side's uncertainty reappeared, and the Lugo team took advantage of this to go in the electronic again and close the third quarter with the duel very well faced (48-65).
In the last ten minutes there was not much history, and some very successful Galicians (they scored up to 41 points in the last quarter) took advantage of the circumstances to make even more blood and widen the difference to 70-106 with the which was reached in the end.
Next Saturday from 18:00, BAXI Manresa will visit the Carplus Fuenlabrada court, where they will fight for their second win of the season in the Endesa League.
