Kids&Us Manresa secured their first EuroCup victory by defeating Germany's Ratiopharm Ulm 101-89 at the Nou Congost, in a game they dominated from the start.
Diego Ocampo’s men got off to a strong start, quickly establishing an eleven-point lead (15-4). This allowed them to control the scoreboard throughout an opening quarter where offense prevailed over defense. By the end of the first period, the hosts held a seven-point advantage (31-24).
In the second quarter, the "Reds" remained highly effective on offense and continued to dominate the scoreboard. A decisive 12-0 run pushed Manresa’s lead to twenty points (60-40), though the Germans managed to cut the deficit to seventeen by halftime (62-45).
After the break, the pattern remained largely the same; the team from Bages maintained the upper hand and never felt their lead was truly threatened, despite some three-pointers from Schmidt late in the third quarter (82-69). In the final ten minutes, Ulm cut the deficit to just ten points (91-81), but at no point did they threaten Ocampo's team's first EuroCup regular-season victory.
On Sunday at 12:00 PM, Kids&Us Manresa will visit the challenging home court of one of Europe's best teams: Pedro Martínez's Real Madrid.
