
The Junior A of Bàsquet Manresa finishes fifth in the Euroleague NextGen
The team led by Nacho Juan recorded two wins and two losses in the qualifying tournament in Ulm.
The junior A of Bàsquet Manresa took part in the prestigious NextGen tournament, organized by the Euroleague. The team led by Nacho Juan competed in the classification tournament in Ulm, which took place from February 6 to 8. Those from Bages were placed in group B, along with the French ASVEL Villeurbanne, the Serbian Mega Super Belgrade and the Greek Olympiacos Piraeus. The team led by Nacho Juan fell with the French and Serbians and prevailed over the Greeks. In the match for fifth place, the Manresanos also won, this time against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.
The Manresanos are one of the five Spanish teams taking part in this year's NextGen. Real Madrid and Valencia Basket will be in Abu Dhabi (from February 27 to March 1), while Barça and Baskonia will play in Bologna (from March 13 to 15). Other state teams that have played in the competition on some occasion are Joventut, Gran Canaria, Zaragoza and Unicaja. The Madridistas lead the list, as they have been crowned champions on five occasions (2015, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024), while the Blues (2016) and the Badalonanese (2013) have also won once.
