Diego Ocampo returns to BAXI Manresa
The Galician coach, architect of the promotion in 2018, returns to Nou Congost to lead the team for the next two seasons.
BAXI Manresa now has a replacement for Pedro Martínez. This is an old acquaintance: Diego Ocampo, who in 2018 promoted the club to the ACB after overcoming the promotion playoff. The Galician signs for two seasons.
Ocampo is a coach with a lot of experience on the bench. He has been an assistant to Salva Maldonado, Pedro Martínez, Manel Comas, Joan Plaza and Aíto García Reneses and as first coach he has directed Murcia, Estudiantes, Joventut and Zaragoza in the ACB. The Galician arrives from Tizona from Burgos, where he has achieved success in the last two seasons: in the first he was promoted to the LEB Oro and in the second he has led the team to the final four of promotion to the Endesa League. At the international level, in 2023 he was named coach of the Czech Republic, a position that he will combine with the BAXI Manresa bench.
