BAXI Manresa was unable to secure another victory at the Nou Congost, falling to Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos in a game where they paid dearly for a poor third quarter (94-101).

After a closely contested opening few minutes, Diego Ocampo's team displayed a strong defensive performance, allowing them to score nine consecutive points, widen the gap on the scoreboard, and reach a maximum lead of nine points (26-17). At the end of the first quarter, the home team held a five-point advantage (28-23).

In the second quarter, the home team led by as many as ten points (46-36), but Porfirio Fisac's men put together a strong finish, going on an 11-3 run to close the gap to just two points at halftime (49-47).

Coming out of the locker room, the visitors came out firing, shooting with great accuracy, and took the lead with an 8-0 run. Immediately afterward, another run of the same magnitude saw Burgos extend their lead to ten points by the end of the third quarter (82-72).

In the final ten minutes, Manresa tried to reduce the deficit, but Fisac's team, led by Happ, Neto, and Corbalán, remained solid and secured a crucial victory in their fight to avoid relegation.

On Sunday from 12:00, BAXI Manresa will play again at the Nou Congost, this time against a Euroleague rival, Valencia Basket with Pedro Martínez, Brancou Badio and Yankuba Sima.
