BAXI Manresa visits the Barça court
The Bages team will play on Sunday at 5:00 PM at the Palau Blaugrana to try to surprise on a complicated court.
On Sunday afternoon, BAXI Manresa will try to put up a fight at Barça's home court. Barça currently sits third in the standings with 13 wins, just one victory behind second place. The Reds still have some players out, but they aim to be competitive with the players they have available.
After an away win in the last round of the EuroCup regular season, BAXI Manresa visits the challenging court of Barça, one of the strongest teams in the competition. Diego Ocampo's roster will still be without Hugo Benitez, Retin Obasohan, and Pauly Paulicap, all sidelined with injuries. Manresa wants to continue their fight and show their competitive side, just as they have done in their last two away games, both in Lleida and Hamburg.
For Barça, who suffered a defeat at the Palau Blaugrana this Thursday against Paris Basketball in the EuroLeague, there are some doubts surrounding their outside players, such as Punter and Satoransky, but they boast a high-level roster with familiar names like Hernangómez, Parra, Clyburn, and Laprovittola. It will be a very difficult court for a team that has enjoyed a long winning streak in the Liga Endesa, only interrupted by two recent defeats against Tenerife and Murcia.
Diego Ocampo said in Friday's pre-game press conference that «in recent weeks Barça has been quite affected by injuries, but they have very high-quality players, including young players from the academy; they play with great intensity and are very organized, they know exactly where they want to put the ball and where the advantage lies; defensively they are very solid and have several defensive plans.»
