Guillem Jou ends his time with BAXI Manresa
The team captain's contract ends and the club will not renew it. After 12 seasons, the Llagostera player will not continue with the team. A farewell ceremony open to everyone will be held this Thursday afternoon.
Guillem Jou's contract ends this June and Bàsquet Manresa will not renew it. A 12-year period for the Llagostera winger, who arrived at the club in the summer of 2013, 12 years ago now, is coming to an end.
Guillem Jou Coll ends his time as a BAXI Manresa player. He arrived 12 years ago now to first form part of the junior team and then as a linked player, at BC Martorell. He played in the Endesa League in 2015, taking part in the derbies against Joventut and Barça. Since the 2017-18 season (with ICL Manresa in the LEB Or League) he has been a player in the first team, becoming the team captain since the 2019-20 season.
He has been the third player to have played the most seasons in the first team, only behind Jordi Singla and Joan Peñarroya.
El Bàsquet Manresa would like to thank Guillem Jou for his dedication and effort during all these years. The captain has been a reference for many young players in our club, but also in the region and the country. From now on, we wish him the best in his career and in his personal life. This Thursday, at 18:30, Guillem Jou will be at the "La Soca" restaurant in Manresa in a farewell event to share some time with colleagues and fans. It is an event open to everyone.
