The 2023-2024 technical staff presents two novelties
Salva Maldonado is back in tandem with Pedro Martínez 30 years later and Marc Gallardo is the new team manager
The 2023-2024 BAXI Manresa has already defined its technical staff, which presents two new features compared to last season. Salva Maldonado is the new assistant coach of Pedro Martínez, as a relief from a Salva Camps who is the new coach of Bàsquet Girona, and Marc Gallardo takes the position of team delegate in place of a Nil Duarte who leaves the club after 9 years.
Pedro Martínez will continue to be the coach of BAXI Manresa. 2023-2024 will be Martínez's tenth season on the bench at Bàsquet Manresa, the fifth consecutive in the third stage of the coach at the Bages club, and number 31 at the ACB. Pedro Martínez is the second coach with the most games directed in the ACB, with a total of 982 games. In these ten seasons at Básquet Manresa, the coach accumulated 392 games directed from the Bagan bench.
Salva Maldonado who was already Pedro Martínez's assistant from 1991 to 1994, returns to Manresa, where he managed to win the Copa del Rey as first coach in 1996. The Catalan coach has managed more than 600 games and 25 years in the ACB, in a multitude of teams from the Endesa League such as Joventut, Gran Canària, Estudiantes or Fuenlabrada.
Marc Estany will be assistant coach of Bàsquet Manresa for one more season. The native of Manresa joined the organization's first team in the 2014-2015 season as a team delegate, and later went on to work as an assistant coach. Despite his youth, Estany has a long career and prestige as a youth teams and Endesa League coach.
Adrián Rubio will continue as the team's physical trainer, a position he joined in 2017-2018, when the team was in the LEB League. The one from Fuenmayor (La Rioja) is also the physical trainer of the Cape Verde team.
Adrià Sabata has been the physiotherapist at BAXI Manresa for 3 years. The native of Navàs, a fan and amateur basketball player since childhood, will continue to take care of the muscles of our players during the team's day-to-day life.
Marc Gallardo will make his debut as team delegate. The native of Navàs entered the club in 2021 and until now did administrative tasks. He is the last to join the technical staff and will have to take care of everything related to the well-being of the players off the court and the organization of trips and matches.
Marcelo Casaccia is the team doctor for the second consecutive season. The Paraguayan doctor is at the club thanks to the collaboration agreement between the Althaia Foundation and BAXI Manresa.
