During this week, a large part of the staff of the first team of BAXI Manresa has undergone the medical-sports review at CIMETIR, Integral Center for Sports Medicine, Traumatology and Rehabilitation of the Sant Josep Clinic. For the second year in a row, all players have had to do the review alone following all the necessary protection and safety measures following the Covid-19, a fact that has meant that the review period has been extended longer than it is. usual.

Reviews conducted at CIMETIR include an assessment of medical and sports history, an anthropometric study, cardiological examinations, and exercise tests with a gas analyzer and lactic acid measurement to determine the physical condition of all players.

Collaboration agreement
In accordance with the agreement between the two entities, the Althaia Foundation is the institution that assumes responsibility for the medical services of Bàsquet Manresa, including the first team.

The collaboration agreement between the two institutions includes outstanding services such as medical examinations of first team players, follow-up of injuries during the season or reviews on the base team at special prices.

The CIMETIR is made up of the Center for Sports Medicine, one of the five centers in Catalonia accredited by the Catalan Sports Council with the highest category, level 3. This is a reference center for athletes that has a team of health professionals from different specialties who work in a network to offer a comprehensive service to its users.
