BAXI Manresa 2021-2022 played its first pre-season match in Fraga, against Casademont Zaragoza of Jaume Ponsarnau and Rodrigo San Miguel. The match was very level until the last seconds, when the Aragonese were more successful.

Casademont started the match better, thanks to the effectiveness of Stan Okoye, author of the first eleven of his team's thirteen points. On the part of the Bages, Rafa Martínez responded with two three-pointers to prevent the rival from opening a big hole at the end of the first quarter (21-17).

In the second, Ponsarnau accelerated again and forced Pedro Martínez to ask for time out (30-20). The Aragonese then held the lead for a few minutes, before Jou and Berzins cut distances before half time (42-38).

Returning from the locker room the game was very even, with short advantages of Casademont, until a three-pointer by Rafa Martínez put Manresa ahead just over a minute before the end of the third quarter (56-57). A free throw scored by Ponsarnau's team made the duel face the last ten minutes with a tie at 57.

In these neither set could open a hole in the scoreboard, and everything had to be decided in the last moments. Bako put BAXI Manresa ahead (70-71), but then the Aragonese scored after an offensive rebound and took the victory, as Jou's three-pointer in the last second did not find the hoop.
