Barça: a debuts rival visits the Congost

Three members of the squad made their league debut against Barça, while Pedro Martínez led his first match with TDK Manresa against the same rival.

Bàsquet Manresa has received the visit of FC Barcelona on 43 occasions, and has won in 10 of them, the last was in the 2008-2009 season, in the remembered match of the four overtimes (122-117).

The Barça reference is Nikola Mirotic, the fifth most valued man in the Endesa League, with an average of 18.2 credits. The power-forward is also the third most defensive rebound catcher per game, with 4.6. Adam Hanga, who played for the Bages club from 2011 to 2013, is the best in the competition in the percentage of three-point shots, with 57.6%. Pierre Oriola, who was in Manresa from 2009 to 2012, is one of the important centers in the Sarunas Jasikevicius scheme. Finally, on Saturday at the Nou Congost, two of the most reliable players from the free throw line will face: Leandro Bolmaro, third with 96.8%, and Jonathan Tabu, second with 97%.

Barça is one of the best teams in the Endesa League, as evidenced by the fact that it stands out in eight different statistical sections: it is the highest rebounder (37.24), the second in efficiency (99.18) and in two-point shots scored (22.76), third in defensive rebounds (26.24) and assists (19.18), fourth in blocks (3) and fifth in percentage of three-point shots (38.42) and free throws scored (15, 59).

-Up to three members of the BAXI Manresa squad made their ACB debut against Barça: Guillem Jou did so in Barcelona on April 3, 2016 (84-57), Rafa Martínez, at home on October 9, 1999 (57-79), and Matt Janning, at the Palau Blaugrana wearing the Baskonia shirt on September 29, 2017 (87-82). Pedro Martínez made his debut on the bench of the then TDK Manresa on the Barça court on 19 September 1990 (89-52).
