BAXI Manresa 2022-2023 presented itself to the fans at Nou Congost offering a good image against a Euroleague rival, Zeljko Obradovic's Partizan. The Bages team dominated their powerful opponent until the last minutes, when they lacked success to finish tying the victory.

The players led by Pedro Martínez made a very good start to the match, with a great success in the launch. In this way, they obtained a maximum income of seventeen points (24-7) against Serbians who struggled to score until the last three minutes of the first quarter. Then they reacted and cut the distance to 34-22 at the end of the period.

In the second there was more equality between the two teams. However, the Reds were able to maintain a comfortable lead thanks, in part, to a good job controlling the rebound. Before the break, the Manresa team nailed an 11-0 run, which Punter replicated with two three-pointers (53-43).

Coming back from the dressing room, the Belgrade side came out strong and scored five points in a row, but the home team were not intimidated and continued to lead the scoreboard at all times. The end of the third quarter was reached with a seven-point margin for the Bages team (77-70) and, therefore, everything to be decided in the last ten minutes.

In these, Partizan did not give up and, with a 0-10, they were only two points behind, forcing Pedro Martínez to call a timeout. The Reds then went ahead by six points with a three-pointer from Harding, but in the last two minutes the Serbians were more accurate and took the victory thanks to a final basket by Vukcevic.

BAXI Manresa will not have too much time to rest, as on Friday at 20:15 they will face Baskonia at the 1st Octubre pavilion in Balaguer.
