Equipment that will be used on the 21st against Zaragoza will be auctioned to raise money for the disease. Sponsors like BAXI generously donate their spaces for initiative in an unprecedented gesture of generosity.
The Endesa League's next game at the New Gorge will be special: BAXI Manresa will be playing with special equipment on the occasion of World Cancer Day, this Tuesday, February 4th. The players will wear a special mosaic t-shirt background, symbolizing the union of efforts to combat this disease that affects too many people everywhere.
The initiative to raise money for the fight against cancer was presented at the New Gorge on Tuesday at noon. Presented by Montse Seubas, Managing Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Basketball Manresa, along with representatives of BAXI, the team's main sponsor, and the AECC.
The details of this action were explained by Montse Seubas, Corporate Social Responsibility Directive of BAXI Manresa, along with Jaume Alcover, Marketing Director of BAXI, and Xus Pérez, President of the AECC-Catalunya Against Manresa Cancer. Later, Eulis Báez, Dani Pérez and Pere Tomàs served as models to show the new equipment and to photograph themselves with the promoters of this solidarity initiative.
After the match against Casademont Zaragoza, the jerseys will be put up for auction and all proceeds will be spent on the fight against Cancer. Bids can be made through basquetmanresa.com, the club's official website, and will be open until February 19, the day the auction will end and the winning users of each shirt will be defined.
The generosity of sponsors and collaborators
One of the most important roles in carrying out this initiative has been for the sponsors who occupy the spaces of the team. BAXI and the other sponsors wanted to collaborate with this gesture by giving up their advertising spaces so that the shirt could be entirely dedicated to the message against cancer. Also important was the role of Pentex, technical sponsor of the club, in producing all the equipment specifically for the occasion. The Manresa company Mecexis, author of the recent redesign of the club's website, has also facilitated the creation of a space where the auction will be held.
The design: a '' mosaic '' against cancer
The BAXI Manresa will not lose its color in this special equipment, but it will look like a geometric mosaic background with different shades of red. There are also changes in typefaces, both on the backs and on the players' last names. In essence, made up of this mosaic, it symbolizes the union of all in the fight against cancer.
