Kids&Us Manresa failed to secure a win in their debut at the Nou Congost, falling to Río Breogán in a match where they trailed from the midway point of the second quarter (95-101).
Diego Ocampo’s players started the game in fine form, quickly establishing a fourteen-point lead (21-7). The Galicians then reacted, chipping away at the deficit to trail by just three points at the end of the first quarter (27-24).
In the second period, the visitors—led by a highly accurate Mavra—took control of the game, allowing them to first turn the score around and then build a thirteen-point lead (37-50). At halftime, Luis Casimiro’s men held an eleven-point advantage (40-51).
After returning from the locker room, the Galicians continued to dominate, at one point enjoying a 22-point lead (46-68). Led by Allen, the Manresa side tried to get back into the game, but they faced a highly inspired opponent that ended the third quarter with a commanding lead (67–89).
In the final ten minutes, Breogán remained solid and gave the Bages team no chance; the hosts only began to narrow the gap when it was already too late to contend for the win.
On Wednesday at 8:30 PM, Kids&Us Manresa will play again at the Nou Congost against Germany's Ratiopharm Ulm in a Round 2 EuroCup match.
