BAXI Manresa earned its third Eurocup victory, its first away from home, after defeating Greek side Aris Thessaloniki Betsson (79-86).
The players coached by Diego Ocampo had a great start, posting an initial 3-14 run. The Greeks responded immediately, but Plummer appeared to sink three three-pointers, giving his team a nine-point lead at the end of the first quarter (18-27).
In the second quarter, the Yellows gradually narrowed the gap and even took the lead (36-34). The two teams then traded points, and the Reds went into halftime leading by a narrow margin thanks to a free throw by Obasohan (43-44).
Coming out of the locker room, the game was very even. The Manresa side led for most of the time, but were unable to open a gap. The third quarter ended with a two-point lead for the Bages side (64-66).
In the final ten minutes, the visitors, led by Ubal, scored eleven consecutive points and achieved a maximum lead of thirteen points (66-79). The home side closed the gap by just six points (77-83), but Obasohan then rounded off his great performance to seal the victory.
