
BAXI Manresa is defeated by UCAM Murcia at the Palacio

BAXI Manresa suffered a defeat on the difficult court of UCAM Murcia, who dominated the game from the end of the first quarter (84-65).
The players coached by Diego Ocampo got off to a good start, finding their range from beyond the arc and building a four-point lead (7-11). The home team then responded, extending their lead to six points (20-14), which Manresa narrowed by the end of the first quarter (20-18).
In the second quarter, the visitors stayed close until the final minutes of the first half, when Sito Alonso's men, led by a highly inspired DeJulius, pulled away and took a twelve-point lead into halftime (44-32).
Coming out of the locker room, UCAM Murcia continued their dominance, reaching a sixteen-point lead (57-41). Despite the significant deficit, the visitors refused to give up and scored eight consecutive points to get back into the game. At the end of the third quarter, the home team held an eight-point advantage (61-53).
In the final ten minutes, Manresa continued to struggle, especially from the free-throw line, and Sito Alonso's team, now with Cate in top form, went on a 13-2 run that allowed them to comfortably secure another victory on their home court.
On Wednesday at 6:00 PM, BAXI Manresa will play away again, this time against U-BT Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
