BAXI Manresa imposed the Congost law to beat Lenovo Tenerife in a very disputed match resolved in the overtime. The Bages team knew how to keep up the pace of the game and resist the onslaught of the third team in the standings to take their seventh victory in the league.

The players led by Pedro Martínez took the first advantage on the scoreboard from the hand of an inspired Moneke, author of nine of the first twelve points of the team. In a match with a high pace by both teams, the visitors managed to come back and close the first quarter with a margin of two points (17-19).

In the second, the tone was just the opposite. It was the Islanders who kept small incomes before the Reds turned the electronic around again and widened the gap to six points in the middle of the match (35-29).

In the second half, the home team, led by efficient Dani Pérez and Dani Garcia, maintained a comfortable advantage throughout the third quarter in which the attacks clearly prevailed over the defenses. The last ten minutes were reached with eight points of income for the Bages team (64-56).

In these, the Canaries put the batteries and tied at 68 with just five minutes to go. The tie would be maintained until the last minute, in which BAXI Manresa entered with a 4 point advantage thanks to a dunk of Bako. Huertas and Wiltjer tied at 79, and Thomasson later scored a bomb with a second to go. When the Manresa team was already singing victory in the Congost, the referees whistled a controversial foul and Salin had 3 shots to win the game, but missed one and came to overtime.

In overtime, Thomasson became the local reference, but visitors always responded. Finally, 7 seconds from the end, Dani Pérez took responsibility for the last shot and scored a winning basket that, after a new review, the referees approved by bursting the Nou Congost with joy.

There will not be too much time to celebrate the victory, as next Tuesday at 6.30 pm BAXI Manresa, already classified for the next phase, will visit the Stal Ostrow court on the fifth day of the BCL.
