The Fundació Bàsquet Manresa is making a solidarity expedition to Cape Verde
The club will send a delegation made up of 4 technicians from June 29 to July 3 who will provide material and training to more than 30 local coaches through a collaboration between the Cape Verde Federation, the City Council, Tauro Travel and the FCBQ.
The Fundació Bàsquet Manresa is organizing a solidarity trip to Cape Verde at the end of this month, with the aim of sharing knowledge and providing technical equipment through the country's federation and in collaboration with the Tauro travel agency, the FCBQ (Catalan Basketball Federation), and the Manresa City Council. Four coaches from Manresa will travel from June 29th to July 3rd to share their expertise and train approximately thirty coaches.
Next Monday, June 29th, a delegation from the Fundació Bàsquet Manresa, comprised of four coaches, will depart from Barcelona, equipped with the necessary materials and ready to share their knowledge in Cape Verde. The Catalan Basketball Federation and the Manresa City Council have actively collaborated on this initiative and made it possible.
The Fundació Bàsquet Manresa presented this solidarity trip at a press conference this Thursday at the Nou Congost. The event was led by the foundation's manager, Ander Mirambell, who explained that "we are very pleased to be able to export the values of Bàsquet Manresa to the African continent. We will train coaches, contribute our club's know-how, and provide equipment that will be useful for local players and coaches."
At the press conference, Ander Mirambell was accompanied by three people: Joan Hernández, CEO of the Tauro travel agency, which will handle the trip's management and logistics; Eulàlia Vila, a board member of the Catalan Basketball Federation and head of the BQ programs; and Pere Massegú, the Councilor for Cooperation of the Manresa City Council.
The coaches from the youth academy, Pau Vilà, Lluís Soler, Jordi Cuñé, and Ton Cuñé, will be the Manresa natives who will be part of the expedition. All have expressed their satisfaction at being able to participate in the project and their eagerness to prepare for the expedition and share their expertise.
