BAXI Manresa is officially an ACB club

The Club Baloncesto Breogán SAD (Cafés Candelas Breogán) and the Bàsquet Manresa SAD (BAXI Manresa) are officially ACB clubs and will participate in the Liga Endesa 2018-19, once the General Assembly of the ACB has approved this Monday their admission as new partners.

Both clubs had achieved the place of promotion since the LEB Or in the 2017-18 season and presented the necessary documentation and amounts within the deadline for registration in the competition, being analyzed favorably by the auditors and the ACB itself. Having presented such studies to the Assembly, the clubs have unanimously voted to enter the Association.

The General Assembly continues with the rest of the day's points, since with the incorporation of the CB Breogán SAD and the Bàsquet Manresa SAD as full member clubs.

Two historical of the Liga Endesa

The return to the Liga Endesa 2018-19 of BAXI Manresa and Cafés Candelas Breogán is the return to the competition of two historic clubs that accumulate 2,174 games in the elite of Spanish basketball throughout its history.

BAXI Manresa is the sixth club with the most matches (1,414) between the National League (344) and ACB (1,070) and is one of the only seven clubs that has been proclaimed league champion, precisely 20 years ago. For its part, Cafés Candelas Breogán is 12th in the history table with 760 matches, product of 156 in the National League and 604 in the ACB. In his case, he returns to the league 12 years after his descent.
