Kids&Us, new main sponsor of Bàsquet Manresa

BAXI becomes a co-sponsor and extends its partnership with the club for another year.

The Manresa-based company has signed a four-year sponsorship agreement and will lend its name to the club's first team, the U22 team, and the youth academy. The brand will appear on the crest and the front of the jersey. BAXI, on the other hand, will now be a co-sponsor, with its brand appearing on the back of the game jersey and its logo on the free-throw circles.

Josep M. Herms, president of Bàsquet Manresa, explains that “Kids&Us is a company that shares many of the club's values: commitment to youth education, sportsmanship, growth, and a strong Manresa identity. Furthermore, this agreement strengthens the club and provides stability in many ways.” Herms also wants to thank BAXI for its support of the team over the past eight years and highlights the fact that “BAXI is not severing ties with the club but rather extending its partnership for another year.”

Kids&Us, a company founded in Manresa in 2003

Kids&Us is an English language school company with more than 190,000 students in 13 countries. It has a presence in Spain, Italy, Belgium, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Andorra, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Mexico, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Japan. Its goal is to transform English learning from a very young age. With a methodology based on the natural process of acquiring a mother tongue, children learn English through a logical, natural, and spontaneous learning path.

Kids&Us has experienced sustained growth based on a solid, proven, and scalable franchise model, which accounts for more than 80% of its centers.

According to Manel Cervera, Marketing Director of Kids&Us, “The agreement represents the union between two entities that share roots, vision, and values, and is an example of the impact Kids&Us wants to have in all the communities where it operates. For us, it is essential that it includes sponsorship of grassroots basketball: supporting young people in their development aligns perfectly with our mission. That's why we will work together to develop initiatives that connect sports and education, and we will also keep the Bàsquet Manresa Foundation very much in mind.”

Cervera adds: “Basketball is a sport that is enjoyed as a family, and families are at the heart of our project. It is, therefore, a unique opportunity for the brand to have a presence and generate meaningful awareness among its natural audience.”

BAXI, an eight-season partnership

BAXI began sponsoring Bàsquet Manresa in the summer of 2018, with the team having just been promoted to the Liga Endesa. **“At that time, our brand still had limited awareness, and we considered sports sponsorship as a “The right strategic lever to strengthen it. The gamble taken by Jordi Mestres and his team, along with Josep Sáez's management, was the right one. Eight years later, we can affirm that the objectives have been successfully met,” explains Joan Blanch, CEO of BAXI.

During this period, BAXI Manresa has consolidated its presence in the elite of Spanish basketball, with two qualifications for the Liga Endesa playoffs, three appearances in the Copa del Rey finals, and a return to European competitions, with the BCL final played in Bilbao in 2022. “The continuity of a committed sponsor has contributed to generating an environment of trust, key to the Club's sporting and institutional development,” adds Blanch.

The move to a new stage corresponds to a natural end of a cycle, agreed upon by both parties. “We have fulfilled the business vision. This is an orderly, consensual, and transparent transition, which allows us to make way for a new partner who joins with energy and ambition. It is a positive evolution for all parties involved, which guarantees continuity and stability for the project," concludes Joan Blanch.
