BAXI Manresa loses in its first visit to the Roig Arena

The Manresa team was combative but Valencia Basket ended up imposing its quality and breadth of squad. Oriola is once again the most valued with good contributions from Olinde and Bassas.

BAXI Manresa was unable to secure a victory on Valencia Basket's challenging court, as the home team prevailed 103-76 in a game they controlled from the middle of the first quarter.

The players coached by Diego Ocampo got off to a good start, shooting well from beyond the arc and building a five-point lead (6-11). The home team then responded, ralliing to take an eight-point lead by the end of the first quarter (30-22).

In the second quarter, the home team continued to dominate, but the visitors went on a 0-10 run to close the gap to just one point (39-38). From there, Valencia pulled away again, going into halftime with a fourteen-point lead (56-42).

After the break, Pedro Martínez's men continued to dominate, extending their lead to as many as 23 points (75-52). However, Manresa didn't let up and cut the deficit to 78-63 by the end of the third quarter.

In the final ten minutes, a determined Bages side tried to get back into the game, but a very solid Valencia Basket team wouldn't allow it and secured another victory in the Liga Endesa.

On Tuesday at 7:00 PM, BAXI Manresa will host Aris Thessaloniki Betsson of Greece at the Nou Congost arena for another Eurocup game.
