Kids&Us Manresa secured their third victory in the EuroCup regular season by defeating Bulgaria’s Balkan Botevgrad in a game that was decided in the final quarter (65-76).
Diego Ocampo’s side got off to a strong start, quickly taking control of the scoreboard and building a lead of up to ten points (15-25), which the hosts managed to trim by the end of the first quarter (17-25).
In the second period, the Bulgarian team closed the gap to just one point (33-34), but they were never able to take the lead. At halftime, the visitors held a three-point advantage (36-39).
After the break, the game remained very evenly matched, with neither team able to pull away. At the end of the third quarter, the Manresa side held a four-point lead, leaving the outcome still very much in the balance (50-54).
In the final ten minutes, the team from Bages came out determined to break the game open, succeeding with a 9-0 unanswered run. Ocampo’s men built a lead of up to seventeen points (57-74), avoiding any late-game drama and securing their third EuroCup victory.
On Sunday at 5:00 PM, Kids&Us Manresa will visit one of the toughest arenas in the Liga Endesa: the home of Kosner Baskonia.
