
Xevi Pujol closes his time at Bàsquet Manresa
The former Sporting Director, who has been a youth player and coach, is leaving BAXI Manresa after more than 25 years with the club. Pujol is exercising an exit clause in his contract to leave the club.
Xevi Pujol steps down as BAXI Manresa's Sporting Director. The Manresa native, who has been linked to the club since he was a child, will continue his career away from the Nou Congost.
Pujol played in the club's youth teams since he was a child, and in 2011 he became a collaborator with the technical team led by Jaume Ponsarnau. In 2014, he became assistant coach, assisting Pedro Martínez, Ibon Navarro, Aleix Duran, Diego Ocampo, and Joan Peñarroya. Finally, in 2020, he replaced Román Montañez as sporting director, a position he held for five seasons.
During the Manresa native's tenure as the club's top sporting official, BAXI Manresa has qualified for the Copa del Rey three times and reached the play-offs twice. In addition, in 2022 they were runners-up in the BCL final four in Bilbao and won the 2021 Catalan League at the Nou Congost.
