BAXI Manresa, present in the King's Cup through former players and technicians
The tournament will have eight basketball players and six coaches who have gone through the Bages club
The Copa del Rey, to be played in the Martín Carpena pavilion in Malaga from Thursday to Sunday, will have a great presence in Manresa. Specifically, as many as eight players and six coaches who have gone through Bàsquet Manresa at some point in their career will participate in the tournament. In addition, they will represent all the teams that take part in the competition.
The first game will be on Thursday at 19:00, and will face Barça and Valencia Basket. The Barça team is militated by the Hungarian Adam Hanga (from 2011 to 2013 in Manresa), Pierre Oriola (from 2009 to 2013 in the Bages club), and Ricard Casas (who has been in two stages, 1993 to 1996 and from 2001 to 2005). For their part, the Valencians are trained by Jaume Ponsarnau (from 2003 to 2013 at the club) and the Aragonese Borja Comenge (who was there during the 2013-14 academic year).
Later, at 9.30 pm, it will be the turn of Real Madrid and RETAbet Bilbao Basket. In the white team plays Sergi Llull (from 2005 to 2007 in Manresa) and in the Basque one Rafa Martínez (who played there from 1999 to 2000 and from 2003 to 2008).
On Friday at 19 hours Iberostar Tenerife and MoraBanc Andorra will play. In the squad of the islanders are the Danish Gabriel Lundberg (from 2017 to 2019 he was in the capital of Bages), while in the Andorran plays the Serbian Dejan Musli (he played in the 2015-2016 season). The coaches of the MoraBanc are the Basque Ibon Navarro (in then ICL from 2015 to 2017) and the Balearic Islands Paco Vázquez (in the first team from Manresa from 1992 to 1996 and from 1997 to 2000).
