BAXI Manresa B has started the second round of the Super Cup with a comfortable away victory against Nou Bàsquet Olesa (71-90). With this victory, the senior B of the Manresa club is placed third with a balance of 10 wins and 4 losses.
Carlos Flores, coach of BAXI Manresa B, makes the following evaluations of the match against NB Olesa: «The team was very good, especially the first 25 minutes in which we found a very good rhythm of play and we had a very high success rate in the triple, which made us break the game very quickly and we were able to reach a difference of about 30 points. At that moment, the opponent began to defend in the zone and that stopped us. When we stop and have to play 5v5 it is very difficult for us to get solid advantages and the game changed. However, the difference achieved in the first part of the game helped us move forward, even though we suffered a little in the second half. Happy and waiting for these sensations to continue for many more weeks.".
BAXI Manresa B will host the competition leader, JAC Sants (13v - 1d), at the Nou Congost next Sunday, January 4, starting at 12:30.
Zamora Enamora wins again with Naspler and Hustak
The brand new champion of the LEB Plata Cup has once again emerged victorious in another league match. The Zamorans have defeated Clínica Ponferrada SDP by 89-68. With this victory, Zamora Enamora remains the outstanding leader of the LEB Plata western conference, with a balance of 15 wins and 2 losses.
Toni Naspler, and also Ondrej Hustak, who played his first game after being loaned by BAXI Manresa, played a leading role in the victory of the locals:
