BAXI Manresa B suffered its fourth defeat of the season after losing at the Nou Congost against Tenea CB Esparreguera, the second placed team, in a match that was decided in the second half (61-78). Despite losing, Carlos Flores' players maintain third position in the standings.
Carlos Flores, coach of BAXI Manresa B, makes the following assessment of the match: It was a very complicated match where we competed very well until half-time where we finished evenly matched. In the second half they were better and won a game that a priori I think should have been more competitive. I think that the difference in referee criteria affected us and took us out of the game, there was a difference of 25 free throws with Esparreguera at the beginning of the last quarter and that is quite decisive. We must find solutions to these differences and we will try to compete better next time.
Next Sunday starting at 12:00 the BAXI Manresa B will close the first round of the Super Copa on the C.B. Ripollet's court, eighth with a balance of five wins and seven losses, the last three consecutively.
Victory of Zamora Enamora before the LEB Plata Cup
Zamora Enamora, with point guard Toni Naspler in its ranks, recovered from the defeat suffered the previous day and won on the Lobe Huesca La Magia court in a duel that was decided in the final stretch (66 -71). Naspler came off the bench and played almost 30 minutes, in which he finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 rating credits .
