BAXI Manresa B closed the first round of the Super Cup with a new victory, the ninth of the season, this time on the C.B. Ripollet court (67-76). Carlos Flores' players occupy the fourth position in the classification and present the same balance as the third, Martinenc.
Carlos Flores, coach of BAXI Manresa B, makes the following assessment of the match: «We started with clear ideas and we managed to do what we wanted; recover our essence, be able to run, dominate the rebound... We had a great first half, reaching halftime with a lead of 13 or 14 points, but missing many free throws that conditioned us and we were not able to break the game. In the third quarter Ripollet took a step forward, tightened the game a lot and took the lead. I think we played the physical difference well and managed to play a very tough and competitive game. It is a victory that helps us a lot and takes us back to the path of competing.
BAXI Manresa B will open the second round of the competition by visiting the court of Nou Bàsquet Olesa, which is tenth with four wins and nine losses, the last three consecutively. The match will get underway next Saturday, January 27, starting at 6:00 p.m.
El Zamora Enamora, champion of the LEB Plata Cup
Zamora Enamora, with point guard Toni Naspler in its ranks, was proclaimed champion of the LEB Plata Cup after defeating Odilo Cartagena in a match that had to be resolved in the second overtime (95-89). Naspler played almost 40 minutes and had a great performance, almost reaching a triple-double: 9 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 25 rating credits.
Ondrej Hustak returns to Zamora Enamora
BAXI Manresa and Zamora Enamora have agreed that the young Czech center, Ondrej Hustak, will play on loan to the LEB Plata team until the end of the season. It will be Hustak's second stage in the Zamoran team, of which he was already part of the 2022-23 season, where he played a total of 29 games in which his numbers were: 21 minutes, 6.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.4 blocks, 1.7 received fouls and 8.6 average rating credits per game.
