A BAXI Manresa in tune with the Congost adds the seventh victory

BAXI Manresa remains strong at the Nou Congost, where it obtained its seventh victory of the season after defeating Bàsquet Girona in one of the Catalan derbies of the Endesa League (101-87).
The Reds took to the court with a lot of defensive intensity and a choral attack, with up to eight players scoring. Thanks to this, they opened a gap on the scoreboard, achieving a partial score of 10-0 and a maximum difference of fourteen points (21-7). At the end of the first quarter, a comfortable lead for the home team (29-17).
In the second the visitors scored five consecutive points, but Robinson then appeared to lead the locals who maintained a significant margin against an opponent who was unforgiving from the three-point line (they scored five of the first six attempts of the period). At halftime, 52-42 for the people from Manresa.
Returning from the locker room, the team from Girona continued to be very successful in their shooting, which allowed them to turn the score around (63-64). But their joy was short-lived, as the Bages team reacted quickly with an 11-0 run to close the third quarter with a 79-69 lead.
In the last ten minutes the Reds came out strong, wanting to put the game away, and scored seven points in a row. From there they remained solid, they made the fans present at the Nou Congost enjoy themselves and did not allow Girona to jeopardize their seventh victory of the season.
On Wednesday starting at 20:30, BAXI Manresa will visit one of the most complicated courts in the Endesa League, the Palau Blaugrana, to face Barça in a new Catalan derby.
