BAXI Manresa gives #MareaVermella a victory in Andorra

BAXI Manresa achieved its fifth victory of the season after winning on the complicated MoraBanc Andorra court (86-90), in a match in which they were ahead on the scoreboard for most of the minutes. A victory that was a great gift for the more than 300 members of the #MareaVermella who came to cheer on the team.
After a 5-0 start for the locals, the game was fast-paced and with many alternatives, whose Reds ruled the scoreboard with short distances. Dani Pérez, very effective from long distance, was the best of the visitors who closed the first quarter with a 23-25.
In the second, the team from Manresa imposed their rhythm and took control of the match. Devin Robinson and Marcis Steinbergs led a team that enjoyed up to sixteen points of advantage before Borg scored 35-49 at halftime.
The second half got underway just as the first half ended, with some Bages players leading by seventeen points (41-58). Next, the zonal defense and some great minutes from former Manresa Tyson Pérez brought Andorra closer to just five points (59-64).
In the last ten minutes the locals wanted to complete the comeback, but ahead were some very successful Reds from the triple (they scored six in the last period). The Andorrans tried until the end but, despite the close final result, they did not jeopardize the victory of the Manresans.
On Sunday starting at 12:30 BAXI Manresa will once again play in front of their fans when Monbus Obradoiro visits Nou Congost.
